Statistics Don't Usually Lie

I'm not a big believer in statistics. Sometimes they seem right on but other times they seem a bit random. More often than not, they actually seem very extreme; at least to me. Well, I saw a magazine article where the author said that statistically speaking, everyone of us has at least one family member who will have issues with drugs and need to check out drug treatment centers. That sounded pretty extreme to me, but maybe not. We all just found out we have a nephew with a drug problem. Maybe they are more accurate than I gave them credit for.

What did you think of this article?
