It is absolutely amazing how the internet has impacted life as we know it. I’m old enough to remember when there were just whisperings of something that could ultimately connect the world. I am incredibly happy that I have lived long enough to witness it and I believe that it is still in its baby stage. My grandkids have no idea how many doors have been opened for them. There is one website that really brought this home to me and I had to share it with all of the kids in our family. It’s called GonnaBe dot com.
This amazing site opens the doors to Hollywood and New York acting, modeling and singing opportunities. They offer professional guidance to young people who may wish to pursue this type of career. Most importantly this website gives these young people unprecedented exposure. Why, when I was young, one could only fantasize about becoming an actor or actress. You could only sing in front of the mirror dreaming about belting a song out somewhere and some agent actually discovering you!
A performing arts career was something that only children of stars were able to get into, or maybe you would be lucky if you lived in Hollywood or New York. But, if you lived anywhere else, USA it was just a dream.
Reviewing the GonnaBe site made me feel that anything is possible today. Young people can post a screen test and maybe be found by an agent looking for talent. It’s amazing and now, thanks to GonnaBe, two of my nieces are getting ready for their screen tests. Break a leg, girls!
